Trade talks between India and America continue. Here, tariffs are also being installed on tariffs. Meanwhile, US Commerce Minister Howard Lutnik has once again criticized India. Lutnik has said that India should open its market and change its attitude towards our policies.
Talking to Newsnation, Lutnik said, we have to improve many countries such as Switzerland, Brazil and India. There are countries from which need to give their right response to America. He further said, they have to open their markets and stop taking such steps, which harm America. This statement of Lutynik has come at a time when India and America relationships remain tight about the purchase of oil from Tariff and Russia.
India talks exaggeratedly
Lutnik had earlier argued that keeping out of American imports, India exaggerates the size of its market. He said, “India is a boast that it has 1.4 billion people. Why 1.4 billion people will not buy maize from America? Do you not feel bad that they sell us everything and do not buy our maize. They impose tariffs on everything.” In a separate interview to Bloomberg, Lutynik had estimated that India will definitely return on trade talks. He says, “This is all a show. They feel that it is good to fight the world’s biggest customer. But when the matter comes to the business, you will have to stop all this and make a compromise with America.”
Lutynik warns India
Lutnik also warned that buying India’s oil at a lower price than Russia is not going to last for a long time. Before the Russia’s attack on Ukraine, India used to buy less than 2 percent oil of its need from Russia and now buying 40 percent … It is absolutely wrong. “India is involved in the countries on which the Trump’s government has put more tariff. First 25 percent reciperkel tariff, then 25 percent of the oil from Russia. Percentable tariffs have been imposed, which has increased the problems of Indian pharma companies.
