A high -speed roadways bus and Omni van were hit on the state highway connecting Lakhimpur to Lucknow near Oyal town of Kheri police station area in Lakhimpur Kheri district of Uttar Pradesh, after which 5 passengers in 15 passengers aboard Omni vans died on the spot, while the condition of 10 passengers is critical. The injured have been sent to the district hospital for treatment.
