A new twist in the Dharmasthal case … The complainant overturned in the court, at whose behest the story of the rape-order was coined? – Dharmasthala Case Complainant Chinnaiha Records Voluntary Statement Before Magistrate OPNM2

A surprise turn came out late Saturday evening in the famous Dharmasthal scandal of Mangaluru in Karnataka. The complainant of the case was completely overturned in the court. He admitted in his statement lodged in the court of Additional Civil Judge and Judicial First Class Magistrate at Belthhangdi that he had made false allegations. He coined stories like rape, murder and bodies.

The statement of complainant Chinnaiya was recorded in the court under Section 183 of the Indian Civil Protection Code. Currently he is lodged in Shivamogga Jail. He was brought to court on Saturday morning amid heavy police security. He was produced in an atmosphere of tight security and secrecy. The Special Investigation Team (SIT) investigating this case had already arrested him for giving false testimony.

Chinnaiya was accused of making several false claims during the court proceedings on 11 July. These included serious things like rape, murders and burial of dead bodies during two decades in the shrine. But in the voluntary statement given on Saturday, he assumed that his previous testimony was completely false. He told the court that he had given all this statement at the behest of some people.

However, due to technical reasons, the police could not reveal the names of those persons at the moment. In the court, Chinnaiya also revealed that the skull he had presented as evidence on July 11, was actually handed over by Saujanya’s uncle Vitthal Gowda. This fact is very important for the investigating agencies, because till now the skull and hell were considered to be the biggest evidence of this case.

The SIT is now investigating this entire matter in a new direction. After the confession of Chinnaiya, both the scope and depth of the investigation have increased. Police sources say that this statement raises serious questions not only on the Dharmasthal case but all the claims related to it. This dispute of the shrine has been in the headlines for a long time. But now the reverse of the main witness is a deep injury to the credibility of this case.
