Geetanjali Angamo, wife of Jail, Sonam Wangchuk, has denied allegations of being associated with Pakistan. He said to the news agency PTI that Wangchuk has always performed in a Gandhian manner and CRPF is responsible for the September 4 violence.

Ladakh DGP had said- Wangchuk was in touch with Pakistan
On Friday, Ladakh DGP said that Sonam Wangchuk was in contact with the Pakistani Intelligence Operative (PIO). It was arrested last month.
In fact, Sonam Wangchuk, the prominent leader of the ongoing movement to demand the sixth schedule in Ladakh and state status, was arrested on Friday under the National Security Act (NSA). The arrest took place two days after the violent clashes in Leh on September 4. Four people died and 90 were injured in this. Wangchuk is kept in Jodhpur Jail in Rajasthan.

Angamo accused Wangchuk’s speech incorrectly. He said that Wangchuk had just said that the change could start with the death of a person and they are ready for it. They talk about making shelter for the Indian Army and boycott Chinese goods.
Cleaning on financial irregularities
Angamo said that HIAL has received foreign funding for consulting services, not in charity. The institution does not charge any fees from 400 students and earns from innovation like Ice Stoopa. Angamo said that Wangchuk is not against development, but wants to participate in development to local people through the sixth schedule.

- The Ministry of Home Affairs has canceled the foreign funding license of Students Educational and Cultural Movement of Ladakh (SECMOL), an organization in Wangchuk. For foreign grants or donations, the NGOs have to register under the Foreign Ashandan (Regulation) Act. In which it was found that the institution misused funding.
- The CBI has also started investigation in the Foreign Funding (FCRA) case against Vangchuk’s NGO Himalayan Institute of Alternatives Ladakh (HIL). Hial is also accused of violation of foreign donations law (FCRA). The CBI team is investigating the accounts and records of the NGO.
