In Nirbhayapuram Colony of Nagar Kotwali police station area, a person brutally beat up his 55-year-old mother for not getting money to buy liquor. A police officer said that the deceased woman has been identified as Asha Devi. The name of the accused is Akshay. He asked his mother to ask for money to buy liquor, but he had no money. He then asked the mother to sell the jewelry, so that she could buy liquor. There was a debate between the two on the mother’s refusal. The debate increased so much that angry Akshay beat his mother badly.
His head was slammed several times on the wall. After this attack, Asha Devi was seriously injured and fell unconscious to the ground. People nearby immediately took him to the district hospital, but doctors declared him dead. After this, people informed the local police about this incident. Police reached the spot and arrested the accused son from the spot.
Jurisdictional Munish Chand told that the accused returned to Saharanpur 15 days before marriage to Akshay Bihar. Two days ago, his wife went to her maternal home, causing him to be depressed and started drinking more alcohol. When his own money was over, he asked his mother to sell jewelry and bring money.
