Partha Sarathi alias Swami Chaitanyanand Saraswati, accused of sexual exploitation of girl students and fraud of crores, was produced in Patiala House Court in Delhi. During the court hearing, Delhi Police said that the investigation is still in the initial stage. There have been serious allegations against the accused Chaitanyanand Saraswati. The accused was in the role of the Vice Chancellor of the institute. The institute was fully controlled. 16 students have so far confirmed sexual harassment in their statement. The police also said that during the investigation, the accused has to be taken to the areas around Almora, Gurgaon, Faridabad and Delhi. Police custody is necessary for this.

Delhi Police has seized about 8 crore rupees associated with Swami Chaitanyanand. This amount was deposited in 18 bank accounts and 28 fixed deposits, which the police have freeze. All these money were deposited in the trust made by him, where heavy donations and contribution were taken. Accused Baba opened many bank accounts using different names and fake documents and tried to hide the transactions. He had withdrawn 50 lakh rupees after the case was registered.

Earlier, the court rejected Swami Chaitanyanand’s anticipatory bail plea. Additional Sessions Judge Hardeep Kaur said that the investigation is still in the initial stage and interrogation of the accused is necessary in custody. The court clearly said that bail cannot be granted in view of the seriousness of the allegations and the depth of the crime. Police investigation has revealed that the accused had created a fake trust named ‘Sri Sharda Institute of Indian Management Research Foundation Trust’.

Its purpose was to take possession of the property of the institute and use it in its own interest. The court said in the order that the accused put the plot number 7 in this fraudulent trust and gave it to the sub-stone without permission. This land and its income were actually for the benefit of the institute and Dakshinamnay Shri Sharda Peetham, Sringeri, but the accused misused it. The allegations are not limited to economic disturbances only. He is also accused of sexual abuse.

The victim had revealed that Swami Chaitanyanand made a deep psychological pressure on the girl students. He seized mobile phones from the girl students so that their external contact would end and control it. In return, he used to give a new phone of his choice, so that the entire network would remain in his possession. The original certificates and documents of the girl students were also seized, which were returned only after completion of the course. It used to create an atmosphere of fear.

The students were feared that their career would be in crisis if they protest. In many cases, he was threatened with failing or expelting. Some students claimed that they were also expelled from the college on protesting. One victim said that Chaitanyanand sexually assaulted 17 girl students. He used to threaten the students to ruin the career for not following their rules. In March 2025, a student lodged a complaint.

He had alleged that even after donating 60 thousand rupees, more money was asked from him. The former president of the institute said that Chaitanyanand had created a network of his loyalists. He was appointed to high positions, while he was not even eligible. The matter was revealed when an Indian Air Force officer complained to the administration of the Private Management Institute. In the case registered on August 4, it was said that 30 girls had complained of sexual abuse in the virtual meeting.
