Abhishek Sharma was voted ‘Player of the Tournament’ for the Asia Cup. (PTI)Dubai. The Indian cricket team has won the Asia Cup title. In the final match, India defeated Pakistan by 5 wickets and won the title. The Indian team has become the Asia Cup champion for the 9th time. The hero of this victory was left -handed batsman Tilak Verma, who scored an unbeaten 69 off 53 balls. He was adjudged ‘Player of the Match’. Abhishek Sharma was the ‘Player of the Series’.
The Indian team refused to take the Asia Cup trophy ACC chief Mohsin Naqvi of Pakistani origin and did not take the title. For this reason, the award distribution ceremony started after about 1 hour.
