Team India refused to take the Asia Cup trophy at the hands of Mohsin Naqvi. Dubai. The Asia Cup champion Indian team refused to take the winner’s trophy from the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) President and Pakistan Minister Mohsin Naqvi. India won the Asia Cup for the ninth time by defeating Pakistan by five wickets. Naqvi was standing on one side before the prize distribution ceremony began and the Indian players were standing within 15 yards. He refused to withdraw from his places and the ceremony is getting delayed.
It is believed that the Indian team management asked who will give the winner’s trophy and the conversation started in the ACC because they know that the Indian team would not like to take the trophy from Naqvi. After Naqvi came on stage, Indian fans from the audience started raising slogans of ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’.
As soon as Naqvi came on the stage, he was told that the Indian team will not take the trophy from them and if they force them, then official protest will be lodged. Naqvi kept waiting and suddenly took any trophy inside the dressing room. In another dramatic development, the Pakistani team did not come out of the dressing room until one hour after the match was over. Only PCB President Naqvi kept standing alone and kept on embarrassing.
