Former SP MLA Irfan Solanki is not taking its names. Now the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has filed a charge sheet against the former SP MLA in the case of financial irregularities and shelter of Bangladeshi citizens. The agency has summoned Solanki and his close associates, in which all have been instructed to appear in the Lucknow office on Monday.

According to sources, five other prominent persons of Kanpur have also been included in this notice who have been nominated in the first related matters. Solanki is accused of giving shelter to Bangladeshi citizen and helping him get Indian identity cards. Apart from this, allegations of suspected financial transactions have also been made. The ED has called all six persons to present their case on the basis of these conclusions. This action is associated with the raid of ED at five locations of Solanki in March 2024, in which assets worth more than Rs 30 crore were seized.

According to the information, the ED summons list includes the name of a former councilor associated with Solanki, who won the Municipal Corporation election twice. But in a case related to Solanki, due to being in jail, he could not contest elections last time. After this, a member of his family contested and won.

Associate builder summoned

Apart from this, the ED has also summoned Haji Wasi, a well -known builder associated with a company associated with Solanki. The ED has also called a close associate of Solanki and the Bangladeshi person who has previously gone to jail on charges of cheating on Aadhaar and other documents for himself and his family by becoming a resident of Kanpur.

Let us tell you that Irfan Solanki has been a four -time MLA from Kanpur’s Sisamau assembly seat, but in June 2024, he was disqualified by the Assembly after being sentenced to seven years in the Jajmau arson case. He is nominated as a gang leader in the case registered in December 2022 under the Gangster Act, which included his brother Rizwan Solanki, Israel Attewala, Shaukat Pahalwan and others. However, the Allahabad High Court granted bail to Solanki, Rizwan and Israel on 25 September, after which they were to be released from Maharajganj jail. But now ED has started new action against Solanki.
