After appearing in Delhi’s Patiala Court, Chaitanyanand Saraswati was sent to a 5 -day police custody.
Swami Chaitanyanand Saraswati alias Parthasarathi, a former head of the Sri Sharda Institute of Indian Management at Vasant Kunj in Delhi and accused of sexual exploitation of students, was constantly changing his hideouts before arrest. He changed 15 hotels during the last 50 days.
According to media reports, he used to stay in cheap hotels with CCTV cameras to escape from the police. Close to Chaitanyanand used to choose a hotel for him. 62 -year -old Chaitanyananda hid in Vrindavan, Mathura, the religious cities of Uttar Pradesh.
On Saturday, he stayed in a hotel in Agra. Police arrested him at 3:30 am on Sunday morning. Delhi’s Patiala House Court has sent him on 5 days police remand. The police is now searching for his close ones.
Police recovered iPads and three phones from Chaitanyanand. One of these phones has CCTV footage of the hostel, through which he kept an eye on the students. Sources said that he interrogated that he had forgotten the password of his phone and other digital devices.
The police have sent three of his phones and an iPad to forensic lab for investigation. Delhi Police on Monday questioned her in the case of sexual harassment allegations of students of the institute. He was taken to the institute’s room where he is accused of calling the girl students.
