US President Donald Trump received Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warmly on Monday at the White House. This is Netanyahu’s fourth visit to America after Trump became President in January. Benjamin Netanyahu, who arrived in the White House from Limosen, was personally welcomed by President Trump. Both leaders shook hands. Trump told the Israeli PM, ‘You look fantastic’, in response, Netanyahu said, ‘You too’. Then the two leaders turned to the cameras and indicated the Thums Up.
According to the Reuters report, Benjamin Netanyahu called the White House Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani from the White House and apologized for the recent Israeli attack on Doha. Earlier this month, Israeli carried out air strikes targeting Hamas’s senior leaders in Doha. Five people were killed in this attack, including Hamas Senior Leader Khalil Al-Hayya’s son and his colleague Jihad, his colleague.

Trump was angry with Israeli attack on Qatar
The incident increased tension in America-Israel relations. Trump had disappointed Netanyahu’s unilateral steps. After the Doha attack, Trump called Netanyahu, in which there was a fierce conversation between the two leaders. Trump had reprimanded the Israeli PM and did not describe the Doha attack as a wise step. Trump had expressed his disappointment over Netanyahu’s decision that this action had blamed the sensitive regional diplomacy.

Netanyahu, while defending his decision, said that he had very little time to take action. Qatar with Egypt is a major mediator at the Gaza ceasefire talks. Qatar condemned the Israeli attack in his capital, describing it as a cowardly and violation of international law. Qatar’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Majid al-Ansari had said that the attacks were deliberately targeted in Doha where members of the Political Bureau of Hamas lived.

Benjamin Netanyahu warned Qatar
Hamas blamed both Israel and America for the Doha attack and accused Washington of being jointly responsible for it. Later, Netanyahu warned Qatar not to give shelter to the senior leaders of Hamas and brought them out of the country or brought them to the dock of justice. The Israeli PM had said, ‘If you do not do this, then we will do it.’ Qatar described these comments of Netanyahu as ‘irresponsible’.
