After the monsoon, the first cyclone power in the Arabian Sea has turned into a severe cyclonic storm. The Meteorological Department said on Saturday that the storm is active in the sea, 420 km from Dwarka, Gujarat. Due to this, winds are blowing at a speed of 100 km per hour.
In the next 24 hours, it will move towards west-south west and will reach the northwest and central parts of the Arabian Sea. There is a possibility of going to the Northeast and weakening from Monday.
Due to the impact of the storm, the sea is in spate in Gujarat, North Maharashtra. The effect of storm power has also started appearing in Maharashtra. Cyclone warnings have been issued for Mumbai, Thane, Palghar, Raigad, Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg districts. By 7 October, the coastal areas of Northern Konkan may receive heavy heavy rain with strong winds.
Strong winds are moving at a speed of 100 km in the sea
Due to the impact of Shakti, there is a possibility of upheaval in the sea on Gujarat, North Maharashtra coast and Pakistan coast by Sunday. However, its effect is likely to weaken gradually. Gujarat and northern Maharashtra may receive high sea waves, strong winds and heavy rains till 7 October.
Instructions for security of citizens in Maharashtra
The IMD has feared heavy to very heavy rains till 7 October in many districts of Maharashtra, especially Vidarbha and parts of Marathwada. Floods are expected in the low -lying areas of Northern Konkan. The Maharashtra government has issued instructions for officials regarding cyclone power.
The district administration has been instructed to activate the disaster management system, planning to evacuate citizens in coastal and low -lying areas and issue advisory for them. Fishermen are warned not to move to the Arabian Sea on the coasts in Gujarat and Maharashtra by 7 October.
