Georgia Prime Minister Iraqali Kobakhidze has accused the European Union of inciting riots in the country. He said that Ambassador Pavel Harkazinsky is responsible for the existing unrest in Tabilisi.
He said in a press briefing, ‘You know that some foreigners, including the Representative of the European Union, have directly supported the attempt to overthrow the constitutional system. EU ambassadors in Georgia are particularly responsible in this context.
Actually, a rally was going on in Tabilisi, the capital of Georgia. The protesters gathered during the day to oppose the municipal elections. Later, the organizers of the rally appealed to the protesters to move towards Rashtrapati Bhavan. After this, some protesters broke the barricading and tried to enter the Rashtrapati Bhavan premises, causing unrest in the entire area.
Clash between police-demonstrations
The police used water canon, paper spray and tear gas balls to disperse the crowd. This caused violent clashes between the police and the protesters.
At the same time, there are demonstrations against the local body elections in Georgia, which have been boycotted by most opposition parties who are pro -European Union.

Police arrested Jawiyad Kuprava
Former United National Movement Party chief Lavan Khabeishwili and Tabilisi Municipal Council member Jawiyad Kuprava have already been arrested for calling for the government. Khabeishwili was arrested in September on the call of a peaceful revolution, while Kuprava was detained for a social media video of 30 September, in which he spoke of breaking special forces during the October 4 rally.

Apart from this, the Interior Ministry of Georgia has registered a criminal case against the protesters under four sections, including the appeal and violence to overthrow the government. The situation in the whole country remains tense.
