After the death of 10 children in Chhindwara, Madhya Pradesh, the administration took major action and arrested Dr. Praveen Soni, who wrote phlegm syrup, late Saturday. Earlier on Saturday, an FIR was lodged against the operators of Dr. Praveen Soni and Coldrif Syrup -making company Sresun Pharmaceutical at Parasia police station.
Case has been registered under these sections
In the case, a case has been registered under sections 27 (A) of Drugs and Cosmetic Act, sections 105 and 276 of BNS. BMO Ankit Sahalam had complained against the doctor from Parasia CHC. Most of the children who died in Chhindwara were written by cuff syrup Praveen Soni.

The investigation report of the syrup that led to the death of the children came late Saturday night. The report found that the amount of diathylene glycol in Coldrif Kapha Syrup was 48.6%. Which can cause serious damage to health.
The culprits will not be spared: CM Mohan Yadav
After the death of 10 children due to suspected kidney infection in Chhindwara district from 7 September, the Madhya Pradesh government on Saturday banned the sale of Coldriff Syrup. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said on 15 September, “The death of children in Chhindwara is very sad due to cold syrup. The sale of this syrup has been banned throughout Madhya Pradesh. Other products of the company making this syrup are also being banned.”
This syrup was made in a factory in Kanchipuram. After the incident, the state government requested the Tamil Nadu government to conduct an inquiry. He said that the investigation report was received this morning and strict action has been taken. Action continues at the local level after the tragic deaths of children. Yadav said that a team has also been formed at the state level to investigate the matter and the culprits will not be spared.
