A scary incident near Charmpa outpost on National Highway-16 in Bhadrak district in Odisha created a sensation. Amidst the rain, a woman was standing under the shed at a deserted place. The truck driver going by the road caught sight of the woman. He put the truck behind by putting a back gear, then stopped and descended and forcibly picked up the woman in the truck.

Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) of Bhadrak, Arup Abhishek Behera said that teams were formed soon after receiving the complaint in the case. Based on CCTV footage, traced the truck, which was carrying iron or coal from Dhamra Port. The accused has been arrested, the truck has also been seized. Seeing evidence and CCTV footage, it is confirmed that the truck driver kidnapped the woman with the intention of sexual harassment. Strict action is being taken against the accused.
