A 45 -year -old man was allegedly shot dead by a young man to avenge his father’s murder 14 years ago in Mangalora village in Shamli, Uttar Pradesh. A police officer gave this information to a news agency.
According to the police, the victim, who has been identified as Jayveer. On Saturday evening, he was returning home from his fields. Then the accused Rahul (30) allegedly fired at him. Due to which he died on the spot.

11 years in jail for murder
Additional Superintendent of Police Santosh Kumar Singh said that a case has been registered against the absconding Rahul. Meanwhile, the body has been sent for postmortem. The official said that security has been tightened in the area and additional policemen have been deployed as a precaution.

According to the complaint lodged by the victim’s family, Jayveer’s murder was the result of the old rivalry. Rahul’s father Brijpal was murdered by Jayveer in 2011. For which he was jailed for 11 years. After his release from jail, Jayveer was living in the village for the last three years.
