Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who was on a day-long visit to Maharashtra, offered prayers at the Saibaba temple in Shirdi on Sunday (October 05, 2025). After this, he addressed a program in Ahilyanagar district. Amit Shah said, “Under the leadership of Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar, all the ministers and MPs of Maharashtra, Padmashree Patil and Padma Vibhushan Balasaheb have gathered to remember his contribution.”
The Home Minister said, ‘I am happy to come to this area, which has now joined the name of Ahilya Bai. When Eknath Shinde was the Chief Minister and Devendra Fadnavis was the Deputy Chief Minister, the BJP -led government changed the name of Aurangabad to Ahilya Bai. Only those people who are followers of Chhatrapati can take such decisions. Those who carry forward the stream of Aurangzeb do not have enough courage to change the name of Aurangabad.
‘Padmashree Vijay Patil Sahab’s contribution for the welfare of farmers’
He said, ‘Today I have come to Bhravara Nagar, which is known as cooperative tracks all over the country. Padma Shri Vijay Patil Saheb has spent his entire life for the welfare of the farmers of this region. Shah also unveiled the statues of Vittalarao Vikhe Patil, a prominent personality of the cooperative movement and his son and former Union Minister Balasaheb Vikhe Patil.

Amit Shah said about the situation of farmers
Amit Shah said, ‘This time Indradev sent a disaster to the farmers of Maharashtra, the land of more than 60 lakh hectares and their crops was ruined. In the financial year 2025-26, the Center gave Rs 3,132 crore to the Maharashtra government, in which Prime Minister Narendra Modi did Rs 1631 crore in the month of April.
He said that the Maharashtra government started several initiatives to help the farmers and gave a relief package. He appreciated Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar for getting central assistance for the farmers of the state.
Maharashtra government help in flood affected areas
The Home Minister said that the state government has taken several steps to reduce the problems of farmers. He said, ‘The Maharashtra government has provided cash assistance of Rs 10,000 and 35 kg of food grains to each flood affected family. Debt collection has been stopped, e-KYC norms have been relaxed for once and relief in revenue tax and school fees.
