The Fact-Finding Committee of NDA MPs has made a big disclosure in its report on the stampede at the rally of TVK leader and actor Vijay in Karur, Tamil Nadu. According to the exclusive information received by Aaj Tak, the Fact Finding Team has described this incident as a complete administrative negligence and result of mismanagement. It has been said in the report that in the rally of actor Vijay in Karur, there was a place for only 2000 to 3000 thousand people, but more than 30,000 people had gathered there. The crowd started gathering from 9 am, although the arrival of actor Vijay was to be held at 12 noon, but he had reached by 7 pm. As soon as Vijay climbed into his bus to address the crowd, there was a stampede.

According to the report, women and children were also among those who were crushed in the stampede. Some people fainted due to heat. During this, Vijay threw water bottles from the roof of his bus, crushed people bowed to lift them. MPs visiting the hospital found that 51 people were injured and they were undergoing treatment. In this stampede, a father lost two of his daughters aged 12 and 8 years.

The report states that some people fell into the open drain and were later found dead. Not only this, the power was cut immediately after the stampede at the scene, the generator also deteriorated, which caused chaos.

The MPs involved in the Fact-Finding Committee alleged that the District Collector (DM) refused to meet him during his visit. According to the report, Vijay left the spot immediately after the accident.

The report alleges that the District Magistrate approved the program despite the limited capacity of the site. Which is a serious lapse. The team of MPs sent the concerned officials to the questionnaire seeking answers and demanded strict action against the guilty officers.
