During the gas cylinder refilling in the public bicycle shop of Khedan Sonar, suddenly there was a tremendous explosion in six cylinders. The explosion was so strong that there was chaos in the entire market and some distant shops were shaken.
According to eyewitnesses, the flames spread so fast after the blast that a motorcycle parked near the shop was completely burnt to ashes, while another bike was badly damaged. At the same time, it is said that during the fire incident, a shopkeeper Khedan Sonar was trapped in the midst of flames. Other shopkeepers somehow pulled them out with the help of police and in critical condition he was admitted to Dhanbad SNMMCH. Shopkeeper Khedan Sonar has died during treatment here.
It is said that LPG gas refilling was done illegally under the guise of the bicycle shop. After the accident, the entire goods of the shop have been destroyed by burning and there is a possibility of loss of lakhs of rupees. As soon as the information was received, the team of Tetulmari police station and fire brigade reached the spot and after hours of effort, the fire was controlled.
At present, the police has started investigating the entire case and the shop operator is being questioned. At the same time, there is an atmosphere of panic in the entire market after the incident. People say that such illegal gas refilling is happening openly in many places in the market, which can cause a big accident at any time. He has demanded strict action from the administration, so that such incidents do not happen again in future.
