It is being told that Pushpak Express was stopped after smoke started coming out from the wheels of B4 bogie. Meanwhile, rumors spread that the train caught fire and due to this the train was stopped. People hurriedly jumped from the train and came onto the track. At the same time, Karnataka Express going from Manmad towards Bhusaval passed through another track. Karnataka Express crushed these passengers. 11 people died in this.

After the accident, railway officials said that this incident happened when the passengers traveling in Pushpak Express jumped on the tracks to save themselves from the possibility of fire in the train due to the smoke coming out from the wheels of the train. And this accident happened when the passengers suddenly reached the tracks.

8 ambulances are on the spot

Nashik Divisional Commissioner Praveen Gedam said that the passengers of Pushpak Express were on the track when Karnataka Express was passing through the adjacent track. The train crushed the passengers. We are on the spot. Additional SP, SP, Collector and everyone are reaching the spot, we are coordinating with DRM and Railway officials. 8 ambulances have reached the spot, additional railway rescue van and railway ambulance are being sent to the spot.

CM announced compensation

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has announced a compensation of Rs 5 lakh to the families of those killed in the Jalgaon train accident. Earlier, he expressed grief over the train accident and described the incident as unfortunate. CM said, I pay my heartfelt tribute to him. My colleague minister Girish Mahajan and the Superintendent of Police have reached the spot.
