India qualified for Under 19 Women’s T20 World Cup Super Six.
New Delhi. Indian team’s excellent performance continues in the Women’s Under 19 T20 World Cup. Team India has qualified for Super Six by defeating Sri Lanka by 60 runs in its last league match. Batting first, India scored 118. After this, Team India restricted Sri Lanka to 58 runs on the basis of excellent performance by its bowlers. In front of the killer bowling of Indian bowlers, Sri Lanka’s batting fell apart like a pack of cards. Only one batsman could touch double figures. This is Sri Lanka’s first defeat in the tournament. Despite the defeat, the Lankan team has reached the Super Six.
Batting first, India scored 118 runs for 9 wickets thanks to 49 runs from opener Gongadi Trisha. Mithila Vinod contributed 16 runs while Joshita VJ played an inning of 14 runs. 4 batsmen from India could touch double figures.
