New Delhi. Spinner Yuzvendra Chahal, batsman Riyan Parag and all-rounder Rahul Tewatia are among the prominent players who will take part in the Shani Trophy to be held in Lucknow in February 2025. This tournament will see an exciting mixup of retired legends, current Ranji Trophy players and state level cricketers. In this, the best talents of Indian cricket will be seen on one stage.

There will be 10 competing teams in the Shani Trophy, which will compete in a unique format of 25 overs. Two matches will be played every day, one in the morning and the other in the afternoon/evening session, giving fans continuous action. Further enhancing the prestige of this event, former Indian cricketer and former BCCI selector Chetan Sharma has been announced as the brand ambassador of Shani Trophy.

Apart from this, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has officially approved this tournament. Speaking about the tournament, Mr. Sumit Shukla, Chairman, Shani Trophy and Managing Director, Divya Future Sports, said, “We are excited to bring this unique format to life in collaboration with Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA) and Cricket Association of Lucknow. Shani Trophy is being organized by Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA) and Cricket Association of Lucknow in collaboration with Divya Future Sports. This tournament has a great lineup of star players, who are bringing their experience to the Shani Trophy. Leg spinner Yuzvendra Chahal is also included in the tournament along with Sai Sudarshan, Rahul Tewatia, IPL star Ryan Parag and Jayant Yadav.
