New Delhi. Jasprit Bumrah has been selected as ICC Test Cricketer of the Year 2024. The ICC on Monday released a new list of 2024 Awards. Two stars of India are included in this list. While Bumrah has been elected the Best Test cricketer, Smriti Mandhana has been awarded the Women’s ODI Cricketer of the Year.
The ICC released the names of the best cricketers of different formats in 2024. The ICC nominated four players in every format for these awards a few days ago. After this, the winner was elected on the basis of voting. Jasprit Bumrah was everyone’s choice for the ICC Test Cricketer of the Year. Bumrah hit the award by beating England’s Root, Harry Brook and Sri Lanka’s Kamindu Mendis.
Jaspreet Bumrah has a great performance in 2024. He took 71 wickets at an average of 14.92 this year. The Indian team could not win the Border-Gavaskar Trophy on Australia tour, but Bumrah was also dominating here. He was awarded the Player of the Series Award for taking the most wickets in the series.
