Saudi Arabia-Italy Relations Al-Ula: To further strengthen the relations between Italy and Saudi Arabia, Italian Prime Minister Georgia Meloni has reached Saudi Arabia on a three-day visit. The Italian Prime Minister reached Jeddah on Saturday (January 25), and reached Al-Ula city on Sunday (January 26), where she met Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. After this, Prime Minister Giorgio Meloni will reach Bahrain on Monday (January 27).
Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman welcomed Italian PM Georgia Meloni in Al-Ula city and introduced her to Saudi culture. After this the Saudi Prince welcomed PM Meloni to the winter camp of Al-Ula. Whose pictures were shared by the Foreign Ministry of Saudi Arabia on the social media platform X on Sunday (January 26).

In the pictures shared by the Saudi Foreign Ministry, Italian Prime Minister Georgia Meloni was seen sitting on a carpet spread on the ground. On the other side, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman was seen sitting. During the meeting of the leaders of the two countries in a winter tent in Al-Ula city, discussions were held on strengthening bilateral relations. At the same time, the Crown Prince and PM Meloni also discussed the reconstruction of Syria after the civil war and a ceasefire in Lebanon. Apart from this, both of them also discussed about Gaza and Yemen as well as the Red Sea.

Agreement reached to establish Saudi-Italy Strategic Partnership Council

The two leaders met in Bayt al-Shar of Al-Ula. During this, PM Meloni saw the heritage and culture of Saudi Arabia. At the same time, both of them also discussed the relations between Saudi and Italy, opportunities to strengthen cooperation in various fields and regional and international developments of mutual interest.
After this meeting, the Crown Prince and PM Meloni signed an agreement to establish the Saudi-Italy Strategic Partnership Council. At the same time, both the countries signed a cooperation and industrial agreement worth 10 billion dollars.
Why did winter camp meet?,
Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman welcoming foreign prime ministers, presidents and foreign ministers to Al-Ula is not a mere coincidence, but a plan to fulfill Al-Ula’s vision of tourism. The Crown Prince launched Al-Ula Vision to develop Al-Ula as a tourism site in the country in the year 2023. The objective of this vision is to make Al-Ula a global tourism destination.
