Lyricist and playback singer Swanand Kirkire was given Shri Dwarka Prasad Agarwal Samman at Jaipur Literature Festival.
The 8th ‘Shri Dwarka Prasad Agarwal Samman’ was given to the lyricist and playback singer Swanand Kirkire in the Durbar Hall of Jaipur Literature Festival (JLF) today. He was given Rs 2 lakh cash and citation in honor.

Meanwhile, a talk show is happening with Kirkire. In this, Dainik Bhaskar’s National Editor LP Pant is talking to him on a magical journey of words and notes. It is known that lyricist Swanand Kirkire has given many classical songs like ‘O Ri Chiraiya’, ‘Navrai Majhi’, ‘Bawra Man Dekha’, ‘All is Vel’, ‘Tu Kisi Rail C’.
A check of 2 lakhs was given as lyricist and playback singer Swanand Kirkire Award. Dainik Bhaskar National Editor Laxmi Prasad Pant, Managing Editor Jagdish Sharma, Business Head Abhishek Srivastava, Editor Mukesh Mathur were present on the stage.
Laxmi Prasad Pant, National Editor of Dainik Bhaskar, said- Dainik Bhaskar organizes ‘Shri Dwarka Prasad Agarwal Samman’ in JLF every year. We all know what are the restlessness of literature in the Jaipur Literature Festival. This time we have given ‘Shri Dwarka Prasad Agarwal Samman’ to lyricist and playback singer Swanand Kirkire.
Honor started in 2016 Mr. Dwarka Prasad Agarwal Samman started in 2016 from JLF platform. Giants like Prabhat Ranjan, Yatindra Mishra, Satya Vyas, Deepak Ramola, Manoj Muntashir Shukla, Irshad Kamil and Amish Tripathi have been given this honor so far. Dainik Bhaskar introduced this honor with the aim of encouraging and promoting Hindi writers.
