Supreme Court on Rohingyas: The Supreme Court has sought information about Rohingyas from an NGO (NGO) on Friday (31 January 2025). The court asked that he told about the settling of Rohingyas in Delhi and the facilities available for them.

Gonzalvis said that the NGO has demanded to provide access to schools and hospitals to Rohingya refugees, as they are not being admitted due to lack of Aadhaar card.

He said, “They are refugees who have UNHCR (United Nations High Commissioner for refugees) and hence they cannot have Aadhaar cards.” However, due to lack of Aadhaar card, they are not being given access to schools and hospitals. ”

‘Give information to the court about the places of Rohingyas’

The bench said that since there is no aggrieved party before the court, but an institution, the NGO should file an affidavit and tell about the places of Rohingyas, in which it should also be clarified whether they live in camps or residential colonies In.

Rohingya lives in these areas of Delhi

Colin Gonzalvis said that Rohingya refugees live in Shaheen Bagh, Kalindi Kunj and Khajuri special areas of Delhi. He said, “He is living in slums in Shaheen Bagh and Kalindi Kunj and he is living in rented houses in Khajuri Khas.” Now the next hearing of this case will be held on February 10.
