Deva Movie Review Hindi – Shahid’s strong acting created the atmosphere, but the taste of entertainment has faded in this spice – Deva review shahid kapoor does heavy lifting with power

In 2023, the blast that Bollywood’s mass films made a year throughout the year are that since last year, every production house of the industry is searching for a perfect masala entertainer. Shahid Kapoor has shown in many films like ‘Kaminey’, ‘Haider’ and ‘R Rajkumar’ that he has a ‘eccentric energy’ in him, which makes the mass characters strong.

If there is a dark shade in the characters, Shahid’s performance emerges even more. The trailer of ‘Deva’ was telling that Shahid got a dark shade character this time. So is ‘Deva’ that spice entertainer who was promising the teaser and trailer of the film?

Story
In ‘Deva’, Shahid Kapoor is in the role of a hot -minded, almost eccentric coop, Dev Ambre. He does not care about the system. Deva’s control over both anger and gun trigger is very loose. Deva’s mind revolves after the murder of his childhood friend and fellow officer Rohan (Paval Gulati). The way he is searching for Rohan’s killer, it is more of a gangster way than a police officer.

The twist in the story is that Deva speaks to his senior on the phone that he has solved Rohan’s case and he knows who is the killer. But then he gets an accident. When Deva arises from the hospital’s bed, his memory has gone. He no longer remember anything about Rohan’s case and his killer. His senior becomes his shield and no one lets know what has happened to him. Now Deva has to resolve the case again and find out who shot Rohan. Will Deva lose memory again to solve the case? Is there anything in this case that will change the whole story? This is the issue of ‘Deva’. See the trailer of ‘Deva’ here:

Film good and bad
The best thing in ‘Deva’ is Shahid Kapoor’s performance. His energy and body language in the role of a eccentric type coop are worth watching. According to the character, the change that he has made in his speaking style is very intensity and makes his performance strong. But the writing of the film with her performance is not fully judged.

The most powerful thing in an action entertainer should be action. But the action of ‘Deva’, that makes the feeling makes the feeling, makes a month’s character powerful. Action scenes shoots have been done well, but the way Shahid’s action should have been a buildup in writing, the elevation of his character should have got, is missing in the story. One problem is that the script always demands to stay in the same mood from Deva. Therefore, his anger does not land on the screen like an explosive moment.

Problems in the film’s pace and writing
There is also a problem in the pacing of ‘Deva’, the pace of the film seems to be decreasing in the first half. The writing of the story is something like that Deva remains on the screen almost all the time and from the perspective of the rest of the characters, his image does not explore. The angle of Shahid’s love story with Pooja Hegde also did not explore properly and this romance could not contribute to the story. The film of Deva and Rohan also could not play the film very well. This is a major drawback in the direction of Roshan Andrews which is unable to justify the treatment of a mass hero.

Investigating the case of Deva after the accident again should have been the biggest hook of the film. But it would not have aroused as much interest as it should have been in this part. Paval Gulati’s work impresses in the film’s supporting cast. The scenes in which they are with Shahid, the intensity of the paval is amazing. Pravesh Rana has also done a good job in the role of Cop. The film did not give a chance to the character of Kubra Saat, she looked strong in her limited role. Pooja Hegde is also low screentime, but she fulfills the need of the character. When Upendra Limaye comes as a sharp shooter at a critical turn of the story, the brightness of the screen increases.

Overall, the chance of being a good masala entertainer in it was complete about ‘Deva’. If the treatment of the twist of the story was better, ‘Deva’ would have become a very strong film. Currently, its treatment makes it an average spice entertainer, which does not disappoint, but it lacks ‘Wao’ moments. A ticket for this film can be purchased only to see Shahid on screen in mass style.
