The Maharashtra government on Monday made it mandatory to speak Marathi in Government and Semi-Government Officers. According to the government order, the use of Marathi will also be necessary in local bodies, government corporations and aided institutions.
If an officer violates this rule, disciplinary action will be taken against him. The government’s Marathi language policy was approved last year. The purpose of this policy is to conserve, propagate and develop language, so that the use of Marathi can be increased in government functioning.

Kerala High Court ordered two tower of Army Welfare Housing Organization in Kochi
The Kerala High Court on Monday ordered the demolition of two towers of the apartments of the Army Welfare Housing Organization at the Silver Sand Island Kochi project in Kochi, Kerala.
