Former wicketkeeper of the Indian cricket team and a member of the BCCI Selection Committee arrived in Saraswati pilgrimage in Pihova, Kurukshetra. Wicketkeeper and batsman Ajay Ratra pledged for the peace of his father Om Prakash Ratra’s soul and to attain his salvation

Ajay Ratra along with his younger brother Sanjay Ratra and uncle Sujan Ratra were also present. Tirtha Purohit Pandit Devdutt Mudgil performed the rituals and rituals for his father on the Saraswati shrine. His father Om Prakash Ratra died on 14 January last month.

Wicket -keeper who scored Test century at the age of 20

Ajay Ratra was the youngest wicket -keeper to score a century in Test cricket. He scored a century at the age of just 20 years. Apart from this, he was the first Indian wicket keeper to score a century on foreign soil. After injury in 2002, Parthiv Patel was replaced in the team. On 19 January 2002, Ratra made his ODI debut against England. In July 2015, he retired from cricket.

Importance of Saraswati pilgrimage
