As the voting is moving forward in Delhi elections, the Aam Aadmi Party and the Bharatiya Janata Party are engaged to reach their booths at all costs. But on the other hand, along with Delhi elections in the media since morning, Prime Minister Modi’s Sangam bath in Mahakumbh is also in discussion. PM Narendra Modi has taken a dip in Mahakumbh. The Aam Aadmi Party and the Congress feel that PM Modi has chosen the day of this day i.e. 5 February for a Sangam bath so that the voters can be affected in the voting for the Delhi Assembly. In order to win the Bharatiya Janata Party in the elections, PM Modi greatly trusts such a strategy. And why not even on the strength of this strategy, he has tasted the BJP many times. But only any leader or political can influence voters through his spiritual journey, it will not embrace any rational person.
PM has been winning the party by doing so before
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been carrying out his spiritual journey on the day of voting. After becoming PM in 2014, Modi has been on some pilgrimage on the day of voting 11 times so far. During this period, assembly elections were held 2 times in Lok Sabha and 6 states. BJP gained power in both Lok Sabha. Whereas in 4 of the 6 states, BJP formed the government in 4 states. That is, the spiritual journey to be held on the day of voting of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been beneficial for the BJP most. Senior journalist Vinod Sharma says that going on a pilgrimage on voting day can be a part of Modi’s political strategy, but it is not right to say that the party will win a difficult win like Delhi. With Modi going to Mahakumbh, BJP voters will be directly on the voters. Those who have to vote for the Aam Aadmi Party or the Congress will give them. 19 May 2019, in the last phase of Lok Sabha elections, votes were to be cast in 59 seats in 8 states. On this day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was focusing on the Kedarnath temple wearing saffron clothes.
Five years later, on 1 June 2024, the last phase of Lok Sabha elections was voted. Modi was doing 45 hours of practice in Vivekananda Rock Memorial of Kanyakumari. Voting was to be held on 90 seats in Haryana on 05 October 2024. On the same day, the Prime Minister was offering prayers at Jagdamba Mata Temple in Washim district of Maharashtra. Not only this, this strategy of PM Modi was also during the assembly elections like Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Gujarat etc. He was present in different temples in the voting days of the above states.
However, his strategy did not work a few times. Like it took place in West Bengal in 2021. On 27 March 2021, the first phase of voting was to be held on 30 seats of the assembly in West Bengal and 47 seats in Assam. On this day, PM Modi reached the Yashoshwari temple Shakti Peeth in Dhaka, Bangladesh and worshiped Maa Kali. He also visited the temple of Matua community in Orakandi. The Matua community is considered to be influenced in 70 seats in West Bengal. But for the first time in Bengal, BJP got such a majority that it succeeded in becoming the main opposition party. The party won in Assam.
More benefits than opposing Modi’s confluence bath
The question is being raised that many people will vote for BJP by taking a confluence of Narendra Modi, it seems ridiculous. If this was really this, the Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party would not have been behind. After all, Arvind Kejriwal openly play Hindu cards. Going to Hanuman temple on every occasion, going to Ayodhya after the inauguration of Ram temple, demanding a photo of Mata Lakshmi on Indian rupee instead of Gandhi, making free pilgrimage to the people of Delhi, paying salaries to priests, etc. are such tasks which are Arvind Kejriwal Is seen as a supporter of soft Hindutva.
If only some votes of the party were expected to increase by taking a dip in the Kumbh, then political parties would stand there. Everyone knows that by criticizing Modi’s Kumbh bath, the number of votes you get are not going to get the Ganges bathing. Political cosmper Saurab Dubey says that there is no significant impact in Delhi elections due to Modi’s going to Mahakumbh. Yes, it is definitely that BJP’s core voters will increase devotion to Modi. The Aam Aadmi Party and the Congress are opposing the Kumbh bath only because there is a competition to get the vote of a handful of minorities.
Some votes of Muslims will be transferred at the last moment with the BJP and AAP who opposed the BJP. Journalist Vinod Sharma says that in fact some votes may be affected by the Sangam bath, but it would be an exaggeration to say that it can affect elections. The public will vote for whom he has made up his mind to vote. Secondly, by bathing only Sangam, Modi can make his supporters happy and can make his opponents more angry. It is meaningless to expect more than this.
