The United Arab Emirates (UAE) announced a blue visa for the first time in May last year. Now UAE has started taking applications for 10 -year Blue Residency Visa. This visa will be released to those who contribute significantly to environmental protection and stability.
The objective of UAE’s blue visa is to draw the environmental stability and climate change experts in the country so that they can contribute to increasing the UAE’s environment, economic and social development.
This visa can be applied for this visa through the UAE’s Federal Authority for Identity Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) online visa service platform Smartservices.icp.gov.Ae.
What is a blue visa?
Blue Visa is a 10 -year residency visa, which has been released by the UAE government for those who have contributed significantly to save the environment and bring stability to the environment at the country and globally.
Blue Residity Visa is given to major advocates of environmental action, including people from international organizations and companies, people associated with NGOs, people who have received prestigious global awards for the environment, well-known environmental activists and researchers.
What is eligibility for blue visa?
According to the ICP, the Blue Residency Visa is for extraordinary individuals in the field of environment, including scientists, researchers, investors, entrepreneurs, inventors, environmental stability, experts of energy and climate change.

-International organizations working for environment, energy, stability and climate change.
-Regional, national and international associations and institutions working for environment.
-People giving financial assistance to the work being done for environment.
-People receiving global, regional or national awards in environmental stability and climate change.
-Master or doctorate degrees in environmental science, energy, stability, or climate change.
-Researchers of environment, energy, stability and climate change.
Requirement for blue visa
-Evidence of work and achievements in the environment area.
-Wellid passport with a validity of at least six months.
For applicants out of the United Arab Emirates
If you are out of UAE and you have been nominated for blue visas, then you have to apply for the first six months multiple entry visa for Blue Residency. This will be an entry permit for you in UAE, which costs 1,250 Dirham (Rs 29,747). After this you can apply for blue visa.
