Khamenei’s statement changed about America
After Donald Trump became President, Iranian officials indicated that they are waiting for Trump’s message to negotiate a nuclear program. Iran has long emphasized that its nuclear program is for peaceful purposes. Khamenai has always been careful about the comments about the interaction with the countries of the West. In a statement made to Air Force officials in Tehran on August 2024, Khamenai had passed the doors of conversation with America being open.
‘Americans did not fulfill the promise’
The change in Iran’s stand is being linked to Trump’s recent statement. Trump had said that America should get control of Gaza and America should do rebuilding work in Gaza. According to the report by news agency AFP, Ayatollah Ali Khamenai said, Trump pulled his hand from the nuclear deal. Americans did not fulfill their promise of agreement. Today the person (Donald Trump) is in power, he broke the agreement. He said that he would do it, and he did it. “
Khamenai said, “This is an experience that we should learn. We talked, we gave concessions, we have compromised, but what we were expecting did not happen. Despite all the flaws, America eventually violated the agreement. ” Trump said on Tuesday (4 February 2025), “We do not want to be strict towards Iran. We do not want to be strict towards anyone, but Iran should not develop nuclear weapons.”
