Center Approve Around 1555 Crore Rupees to Five States Andhra Pradesh Nagaland Odisha Telangana and Tripura Ann

Center Approves Aid to States: The High-level committee headed by Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah has approved an additional central assistance of Rs 1554.99 crore to 5 states under the National Disaster Response Fund (NDRF) on Wednesday (February 19, 2025).

Andhra Pradesh, Nagaland, Odisha, Telangana and Tripura will get this amount for natural disasters like floods/sudden floods, landslides, cyclonic storms during 2024. Apart from this, during FY 2024-25, the central government has released Rs 18,322.80 crore to 27 states under SDRF and Rs 4,808.30 crore to 18 states under NDRF.

Earlier, the central government had approved a special assistance of Rs 529.50 crore for 16 projects in landslide affected areas of Churalamala and Mundakai in Wayanad district. The funds allocated for FY 2024-25 are to be used by 31 March.

How many rupees did which state get?

Out of a total of Rs 1,554.99 crore, the central government has sanctioned Rs 608.08 crore for Andhra Pradesh, Rs 170.99 crore for Nagaland, Rs 255.24 crore for Odisha, Rs 231.75 crore for Telangana and Rs 288.93 crore for Tripura. This is in addition to the funds issued by the Additional Assistance Center in the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF), which is already available with the states.

Amount issued for separate funds

During 2024-25, the Center won Rs 18,322.80 crore to 27 states in the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) and Rs 4,808.30 crore to 18 states from NDRF, Rs 2208.55 crore to 14 states from State Disaster Reduction Fund (SDMF) and National Disaster Launch to 14 States from 14 States 719.72 crore was released to eight states from the fund (NDMF). The Ministry of Home Affairs said that it shows the resolve of the central government to help the people of those five states under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who have faced these natural disasters.
