Pakistan Moon Rover Mission 2028 in Collection With China

Pakistan Moon Rover Mission: Pakistan’s space agency Suparco has announced that Pakistan’s first moon is going to be launched in the Rover Mission 2028. This historical step has been taken under space cooperation between Pakistan and China. Under this mission, Pakistan’s Moon Rover will be part of China’s Chang’i 8 mission, which will focus on robotic discovery on the southern pole of the moon.

Pakistan’s Moon Rover Mission will be launched as part of China’s Chang’i 8 mission. The two countries have signed a memorandum (MOU) for the project, which reflects their growing cooperation in space exploration. The Chang’i 8 mission aims to make a detailed discovery of the southern pole of the Moon, and Pakistan’s rover will become an integral part of this mission.

Moon rover naming competition
To promote public participation towards this mission, Suparco has announced a nationwide competition. In this competition, the opportunity is being given to name the Moon Rover of Pakistan and the winner will get a reward of Rs 100,000.

Moon deployment at southern pole
The moon rover developed by Suparco will be deployed on the southern pole of the moon. The rover will go with advanced scientists designed by Pakistani scientists, which will also have a collaborative equipment developed by Chinese and European scientists. The purpose of this mission is to collect detailed information about this part of the moon.

Pakistan-China partnership in space exploration
Earlier, in May 2022, Pakistan launched its first lunar satellite under the Chang’i-6 mission, which successfully landing on the southern Pole-Atcon Basin of the Moon. This mission returned samples from the Moon on Earth, making China the first country to bring back samples from the remote part of the Moon.
