Tamil Nadu CM Mk Stalin Called All Party Meeting Amid Delimitation 3 Language Row BJP Boycott

Mk stalin calls all party meet: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin has urged the people of the state to raise their voice against delimitation and three-language policy. He said that the central government is claiming that it is not imposing its wishes on the state, but its action indicates the contrary.

Chief Minister Stalin has called an all-party meeting on March 5, 2025, in which Lok Sabha delimitation and three-language policy will be discussed. 45 political parties have been invited to this meeting. However, the BJP has decided to boycott the meeting. BJP leaders said that this decision has been taken after intensive deliberations.

BJP raised questions on Stalin’s claims
A BJP leader said, “We have sent a letter to the Chief Minister to clarify why we are not participating in the meeting.” The party also questioned that on what basis Stalin is claiming that the Lok Sabha seats of Tamil Nadu may decrease?

AIADMK and PMK will attend the meeting
AIADMK has announced that two of its representatives will attend this meeting and clarify the party’s stand. BJP’s ally, Pattali Makkal Kachi (PMK) has also announced to attend the meeting.

Composition feared loss to Tamil Nadu
Many political parties in Tamil Nadu fears that the delimitation process may reduce the Lok Sabha seats of the state. Chief Minister Stalin said that if the delimitation proposal is implemented, the Lok Sabha seats of Tamil Nadu can decrease from 39 to 31, which will weaken the parliamentary representation of the state. Stalin recently said, “This is a matter of Tamil Nadu’s rights. All political parties should unite and oppose it.”

BJP and central government reply on delimitation
Union Home Minister Amit Shah has dismissed Stalin’s allegations. He said that the number of parliamentary seats in any southern state including Tamil Nadu will not be reduced. He also accused Stalin of spreading wrong information.

DMK’s three-language policy continues to protest
Let us know that the DMK government is opposing three-language policy and is insisting that Tamil Nadu is satisfied with Tamil and English. The state government claims that the BJP government is trying to impose Hindi, which has been rejected by the Center. Now that the debate on delimitation and language policy has intensified, it will be interesting to see in which direction the politics of Tamil Nadu moves forward.
