Karnataka Deputy CM DK Shivkumar has clarified when he attended the Mahashivratri ceremony at Isha Yoga Center in Tamil Nadu. He said- I was born as a Hindu and will die as a Hindu.
Shivkumar said, ‘Sadhguru is from Karnataka. He is fighting for Kaveri water. He came and invited me personally. He is doing great work. MLAs and leaders of various political parties were there, so I went there. This is my personal faith. ‘
He said, ‘There is a 100 feet tall statue of Jesus in my constituency. Local people got the construction done. Then the BJP called me ‘Yesukumar’. I believe in all religions and castes. The ideology of the Congress party is to take everyone together in the society, so some people may like it, some do not like it.
Minister raised questions on sharing the stage with Shah On 26 February, a program was held at Isha Yoga Center in Coimbatore on Mahashivaratri. Home Minister Amit Shah came in it. The deputy CM of Karnataka also went into it. On this, Karnataka Cooperative Minister KN Rajanna had said that how can Shivkumar stage share with those criticizing Rahul Gandhi?
Rajanna told the media that, ‘Sadhguru himself said that he does not know Rahul Gandhi? Shivkumar knows me better than what is said about our leader in the Lok Sabha. Now they should answer how appropriate it is to share the stage with such people.
Congress Secretary said- He with those who made fun of Rahul All India Congress Committee (AICC) Secretary PV Mohan targeted Shivkumar’s visit to Coimbatore. PV Mohan wrote on social media- Shivkumar went to the invitation of a person who makes fun of Rahul Gandhi.
Then while responding to PV Mohan’s allegations, Shivkumar said- I am a Hindu. I am born as a Hindu and I will die as a Hindu, but I love and respect all religions.

Shivkumar’s 2 answers on the allegations of Congress leaders …
1. Yogi Sarkar’s Kumbh organizing commendable: My experience about Mahakumbh was very good. The way he (Yogi Sarkar) held it, I appreciate him. This is not a small task. There may be some problems here and there. Trains can also cause problems. I do not like to remove flaws. This is very satisfactory.
2. No connivance with BJP: Responding to allegations of connivance with BJP, Shivkumar described it as a conspiracy against him. He said, “There is the principle of taking everyone along in the Congress party. Mahatma Gandhi, Nehru and Indira Gandhi did the same. I have seen Sonia Gandhi celebrating Ugadi festival. She has adopted Indianness.”
DK Shivkumar took a dip in Mahakumbh with wife Usha on 9 February.
Congress leader and Shivkumar’s brother supported Former Congress MP DK Suresh defended his brother Shivkumar. He said- Whenever Shivkumar met Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he already informed the party high command. He also informed the party about Isha Foundation’s attendance in Mahashivratri program.
Shivkumar vs Siddaramaiah since 2023 in Karnataka There have been reports of rift between Congress and D Shivkumar in Karnataka for a long time. It began in 2023 from the Karnataka Assembly elections. After the Congress’s brilliant victory, Shivkumar was far ahead of Siddaramaiah in the race for the post of Chief Minister. Later he had to retreat.
After several days of honor, Shivkumar entered into an agreement for the post of Deputy Chief Minister, retaining the post of state president. At that time there were reports of the power-sharing agreement, under which Shivkumar would get CM post after two and a half years. However, there was no official confirmation of this.
