CBI started a detailed investigation into the case

The CBI has started a detailed investigation in this matter. This is another major action of the CBI in corruption cases, which makes it clear that the agency is keeping a close watch on bribery in government departments. This incident has raised serious questions about corruption in the railway department.

Old cases of corruption in railway

Cases of corruption in Indian Railways have been coming up earlier. Many times action has been taken against ticket brokers, security forces and railway employees. The main task of the Railway Protection Force (RPF) is to ensure the safety of the passengers, but such incidents highlight the flaws prevailing in the system.

This action of CBI sends a message that government officials involved in corruption will not be spared. In such a situation, the general public also needs to remain active and the CBI or other related agencies should directly complain of any kind of bribery or corruption.
