An Indian Foreign Service (IFS) official committed suicide on Friday in Chanakyapuri area of ​​Delhi. The officer gave up his life by jumping from the fourth floor of the residential society of the Ministry of External Affairs.

According to the police, the officer has been identified as Jitendra Rawat. He was in depression for some time. He was also undergoing treatment. No suicide note has been recovered from the scene. However, no evidence of any conspiracy has been found.

Jitendra lived with his mother on the first floor of the society, while his wife and two children live in Dehradun.

The Ministry of External Affairs is the residential society (Mea) society, the officers jumped from the fourth floor.

Ministry did not make much information public due to secrecy The Ministry of External Affairs said in its statement- An officer died in New Delhi on the morning of 7 March. The ministry is providing all possible assistance to the family and is in touch with the Delhi Police.
