Sheena Bora murder case, daily hearing from March 10, last hearing was held in October last year
The hearing of the Sheena Bora murder case will start daily from March 10. The last hearing in the case was held on October 23 last year. CBI Special Judge SP Naik Nimbalkar has not been heard for 4 months due to transfer.
Sheena Bora’s mother Indrani Mukherjee is the main accused in the case. Sheena Bora was strangled to death in April 2012 by Indrani Mukherjee, her driver Shyamwar Rai (later became a government witness) and Mukherjee’s ex -husband Sanjeev Khanna.
The body was burnt and thrown into the forest of Raigad. Indrani’s ex -husband and media veteran Peter Mukherjee is also accused in the case. The murder came to light in 2015 when driver Shyamvar Rai spoke about the murder after his arrest in another case.
Indrani and Khanna were arrested in August 2015. Three months later, Peter Mukherjee was arrested. At present, all the accused are on bail. The hearing of the case began in February 2017 after all the charges were framed. There are 237 witnesses from the prosecution. Out of this, more than 90 have appeared in the court.
