Students of the Godavari hostel of Osmania University in Hyderabad staged a protest after allegedly found blades and insects in their food. The incident occurred during dinner, where students got a blade in their food.
The students alleged that no action has been taken despite complaining to the officials about the poor food quality. He claimed that insects and blades are often found in his food, but the authorities have blocked their complaints.
The students have demanded immediate action to improve the quality of food and threatened to continue their protest till their demands were met.
A similar case came to light from Anuppur district of Madhya Pradesh on February 25. More than 50 students suffered from food poisoning after having dinner in a girls hostel of Indira Gandhi National Tribal University (IGNTU) here. An official has given this information.
According to some students, after eating food in the mess of hostels, they complained of headache, stomach ache and vomiting. The students said that they had eaten potato and cauliflower vegetables, rice, roti and lentils in dinner. At around 11 pm, many of them started falling ill. Some students claimed that potato vegetable is responsible for their poor health. He said that he was admitted to the health facility of the university.
