Pakistan train hijack: The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), while carrying out another major incident, hijacked the Jafar Express train. On March 11, the train, which left from Quetta to Peshawar, was attacked in the mountainous area of Boln, when it was passing through a tunnel.
8 armed militants of BLA, who were ambushed, attacked the train. Due to the mountainous area, there is a lack of network connectivity, which made it difficult for the train driver and passengers to contact the age-second.
Concern about hostages
After the attack, the terrorists took many passengers from the train and took them to the hilly areas. The government and security forces are trying to get rid of the hostages. Minister of State for Home Talal Chaudhary informed that the terrorists have used women and children as a shield, which has made the situation more serious. During this time, a victim’s family said in front of the camera that our cousin’s father called the train at 8 o’clock and informed that he is returning. He made his last call at 11 am yesterday. Since then, we have not received any information.
Bla took responsibility
The responsibility of the attack has been taken by the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA). This organization demands separation of Balochistan and has also attacked trains and vehicles before that. In November too, 26 people died in the blast at Quetta railway station.
Army action
The security force and the Pakistan Army have surrounded Bollan from all sides. Helicopters are being monitored in the area and the injured passengers have been admitted to the hospital.
