The dispute at Lilavati Hospital is between two trustees. Both are brothers among themselves.

The current trustees of Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai have accused the former trustees of rigging ₹ 1500 crore. The management of the hospital is in the hands of Lilavati Kirtilal Mehta Medical Trust.

The trust also claims that black magic was done in the hospital premises. They have found 8 urns filled with bones and hair. These things have been revealed in the financial audit of the hospital.

According to the report of the news agency PTI, the trust has lodged an FIR against the former trustees following the order of the Bandra Magistrate Court.

Learn about the case in detail Kishori Mehta, the founder of Lilavati Kirtilal Mehta Medical Trust, was ill in 2002. He went abroad for treatment. During this, his brother Vijay Mehta took over the trust. It is alleged that Vijay Mehta made his son and nephews trustee by forgery of documents and removed Kishori Mehta from permanent trustees.

Kishori Mehta became a trustee again in 2016. He took responsibility for this for eight years. After the death of Kishori Mehta in 2024, his son Prashant Mehta became a permanent trustee and got the hospital’s financial record audit.

Trustee Prashant said- Embezzlement former trustees live abroad Prashant Mehta said in a conversation with PTI, “We appointed Chetan Dalal Investigation and Management Services and ADB and Associates as forensic auditor.” The auditors prepared more than five reports. It was revealed that the former trustees rigged more than Rs 1500 crore. This money is embezzled by former trustees, most of whom are residents of NRI and Dubai and Belgium.
