Last week, GMRL issued a tender for construction work. The dialects will be opened on 22 April and the work order will be issued to the successful bidder immediately after that. If the project proceeds as per schedule, the first section of the new metro line is expected to be completed by June 2027.
The new metro line will start from Huda City Center, from Gurugram.

The new metro line in Haryana will start from Huda City Center. This will include Sector 45, Sector 46 (Cyber ​​Park), Sector 47, Subhash Chowk, Sector 48, Sector 33, Hero Honda Chowk, Udyog Vihar 6, Sector 10, Sector 37, Basai and Sector 9 stations. A spur sector will also connect Basai to Dwarka Expressway at 101 station. Apart from this, there will also be good connectivity with Delhi.
The entire project is 28.5 km
The entire project will be spread for 28.5 km, including 1.85 km from Basai village to Dwarka Expressway. The main 26.65 km corridor running from Huda City Center to Cyber ​​City will be elevated, which will have 27 stations.
It will also have a depot interchange along with the Yellow Line of Delhi Metro at Huda City Center, which will provide direct connectivity between important parts of Gurugram and Delhi.
Control room will also be built
According to the tender of the new metro line, whichever contractor will be selected will be responsible for conducting a detailed survey of air alignment, construction of station structures including track support and commercial areas. Apart from this, a control room for communication links between offices and work sites will also be set up.
Right now two metro lines are operating
Once completed, the metro line will serve as an efficient and environmentally friendly transport system for people in Gurugram and surrounding areas. The project was approved by the state government in August 2020, the total estimated cost of which is Rs 6,821.13 crore.
Currently, only two metro lines operate in the city – 7 km section of the Yellow line of Delhi Metro and 12.85 km Rapid Metro Corridor.
