The brother killed his sister due to a ground dispute in Khaptiha Kala village of Banda district of Uttar Pradesh. The mother of the deceased had given her 4.5 bigha land in the name of daughter, due to which angry brother Santosh attacked him with Banke. After the incident, the accused escaped. The police have started investigation by sending the body for postmortem and the search for the accused is going on.

According to police, 50 -year -old Sushila Nishad was alone at her home. Her husband and son had gone out in connection with wages. Suddenly his elder brother Santosh Nishad came home and killed him by stabbing him. He escaped from the spot after the murder. Investigation revealed that Sushila Nishad’s mother had given 4.5 bighas of land in her share to Sushila.

Murder stirred up the area

Santosh was angry with this decision and he had demanded the sister to return the land several times. When Sushila refused to do so, Santosh took a rivalry and killed him after seeing the opportunity. After the incident, the family took Sushila to the hospital, but the doctors declared him dead. This incident on the day of Holi created an atmosphere of tension and fear in the village. As soon as the police received the information, the top officials reached the spot and started investigation.

DSP said this in the case

DSP Rajveer Singh said that the police reached the spot and gathered evidence. As part of the legal process, the police has sent the body for postmortem. Two police teams are constantly raiding to catch the absconding accused Santosh Nishad. At the same time, there is mourning and resentment in the entire village due to this crime on the day of Holi. The villagers have demanded the police to arrest the accused as soon as possible and take strict action.
