The police department has taken major action in the case of assault of army colonel and his son in Patiala. 12 policemen have been suspended in this case. The entire case of assault was recorded in the video. Family members also complained to police in this regard

The whole dispute was over parking. SSP Nanak Singh said that departmental inquiry has been ordered against all police personnel. The investigation will be completed in 45 days. He also said that we apologize in the case of an army officer. We respect the army.
Wife bid- policemen beaten brutally
The Colonel’s wife had told in the complaint to the police that his Pushpinder Singh Bath and my son Angad Singh were beaten by Police Inspector Harjinder Singh Dhillon, Inspector Harry Boparai and Inspector Runi Singh and about 10 of his policemen brutally drunk with sticks, baseball bat and some sharp weapons. During this time her husband has suffered several injuries, her left hand broke. While son Angad Singh has a deep wound on his head. Both are admitted to the hospital under treatment from 2:00 pm on 14 March. Everything is clear in the footage of the scene. After the incident, the statement of husband and son was recorded very late. But till date no action was taken by the concerned police station. Despite my repeated requests and circling the Civil Lines, Patiala police station, an FIR has not been filed yet.
