Jantar mantar protest: On Monday (March 17, 2025) at Jantar Mantar in the capital Delhi, leaders of Muslim organizations and opposition parties demonstrated against the Waqf Amendment Bill 2024. The leaders targeted the JPC and the Center fiercely at the Center.
The MP from Biju Janata Dal targeted the central government and said, “JPC did not accept our suggestion. Why do you want to enter the religion of Muslims. What is the need to enter our religion? The result of which the central government is trying to enter inside our community will be very bad. You guys are playing with fire. Allah will kill you later. Not only Mohibullah Khan, but AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi, Congress leader Salman Khurshid and several opposition MPs arrived in this demonstration at Jantar Mantar in Delhi. According to media reports, the government may soon introduce the Waqf Amendment Bill 2024 in Parliament.

Muslim organizations have said that this MLA is going to increase the control of the government on Waqf Property, which can make the rights of the community effect. Muslim organizations warned the central government that if the bill is passed, then there will be a movement against it across the nation.
What did Owaisi say?
At Jantar Mantar, AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi also strongly targeted the government over the Waqf Amendment Bill and said that this bill is going to spread chaos in the name of law. Owaisi said that this is a conspiracy to finish and capture his property in the name of safety and transparency of Waqf. He demanded the government to stop his action and withdraw the bill.
