Sunita williams returns on earth: Indian -origin astronaut Sunita Williams and her partner Buch Wilmore are soon to return to Earth from SpaceX’s dragon vehicle. Both of them went to space for an 8 -day mission from Boeing’s new Starlineer Capsule on June 5 last year. However, due to helium leakage in spacecraft and decrease in speed, they remained stranded in the space station for about nine months.
Today, on March 18, the spacecraft will be ignored from the International Space Station (ISS) at 10.35 am Indian time. After this, the deorbit burn of the spacecraft will be held on March 19 at 02.41 am when the vehicle will enter the atmosphere. The landing of the vehicle will be near the Florida coast at 03.27 am in the sea, and NASA’s press conference will be held at 05.00 am. The return of Sunita and Buch will take a total of 17 hours.
Landing and withdrawal process of vehicle
SpaceX will be in the sea near the Dragon vehicle’s landing Florida coast. After this, NASA’s team will take the astronauts out of the vehicle one by one. NASA will do live coverage of this entire withdrawal process, which will include hatch closures, ignores and splashadowns.
Post-mission medical examination of astronauts
