Manmohan Singh Death: Dr. Manmohan Singh, who was the Prime Minister of the country twice, died at AIIMS on Thursday (26 December 2024). Manmohan Singh was admitted to the emergency department of AIIMS, Delhi after his health suddenly deteriorated on Thursday evening. Former British Prime Minister David Cameron, in his autobiography “For the Record”, while narrating his experiences with former Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, had said that Manmohan Singh is a saint. He had said that Manmohan Singh was very serious about India’s security concerns. Cameron had told that Manmohan Singh had also talked about military action against Pakistan in the event of a terrorist attack like Mumbai. He had said that if another terrorist attack like 2008 happens, India will have to take military action against Pakistan.

Cameron recalled one of his many visits to India during his tenure, saying, “I had a good relationship with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. He was a saintly man, but he was also very aware of the threats facing India.” Later during a visit he told me that if another terrorist attack like that (2008) happened in Mumbai in July 2011, India would have to take military action against Pakistan.”
