Assam BSF Attack: Border Security Force (BSF) personnel were attacked by mischievous elements in South Salamara-Mankachar district of Assam. The incident took place on Saturday (March 29) in Divaneerga village where some anti -social elements attacked BSF personnel. Officials informed on Sunday (March 30) that at least two people were injured in the action taken in response to this attack.
According to the official statement of BSF, the soldiers were engaged in a campaign to stop smuggling in the border area. Meanwhile, some anti -social elements suddenly attacked him for fear of action. The soldiers took retaliation in self -defense while handling the situation. Public Relations Officer (PRO) of BSF Guwahati Frontier said that the soldiers retaliated by maintaining extreme vigilance and restraint, so that the loss could be kept minimal and the situation would soon come under control. Officials clarified that the priority of security forces is to maintain peace and law and order in the field.
Firing in self -defense of soldiers amid attacks, two injured
According to BSF officials, during the attack, the soldiers fired pellets in self -defense to control the situation in which two crooks were injured. BSF lodged FIR, police investigation continues
The BSF has identified eight accused who attacked the soldiers.
