Minor of Minority Affairs Kiran Rijuju Reacts on Waqf Bill Said It is Important for Everyone

Protests are being seen across the country about the Waqf Amendment Bill. This performance is also getting support from opposition parties. India’s Minority Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju has also responded to this issue. He said that some people are misleading about the Waqf bill. People should speak thoughtfully.

He said, ‘There is a wakf before independence and amended before independence. There is opposition to knowing about the Waqf Bill. This bill is a good bill for the country. He further said that a section of Muslims have captured the property of Waqf, so they are protesting. There is no non -constitutional provision in the Waqf Bill. Everyone should support this bill together.

Owaisi protested

Earlier, AIMIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi said that this bill is an attack on the religious freedom of Muslims. He alleged that this bill hinders its administration by making non-Muslims members in the Waqf Board, which is a violation of Articles 14, 26 and 225 of the Constitution. He raised the question that when people of other religions can become members only in the board of other religions, then why non-Muslim in Waqf Board?

Home Minister Amit Shah announced this

Home Minister Amit Shah has announced in the Lok Sabha that the government will introduce the Waqf Amendment Bill during the current budget session. Under this bill, the right to resolve land disputes will be given only to the courts, so that transparency and justice can be ensured. This bill is being opposed by Muslim organizations across the country. The All India Muslim Personal Law Board has called it a “conspiracy on Muslim shrines and donation institutions”. Recently, on the call of All India Muslim Personal Law Board, Muslims across the country protested by tying black leases on the last Friday of Ramadan.
